Karstadt CEO to stay through year's end

Andrew Jennings will remain on as chief executive at German department store Karstadt until his two-year contract expires at the end of the year, he said Monday, in response to reports that he doesn't plan to renew his contract. "This succession planning is the normal course of the business and we look forward to continuing a long-term relationship with Andrew Jennings beyond 2013 when his contract officially ends," said owner Nicolas Berggruen.
