Obama backs down on Plan B age limit

The Obama administration filed documents Monday stating that it will conform with a court decision allowing the over-the-counter sale of the Plan B emergency contraceptive to females of all ages. The Justice Department said it would start putting into effect a ruling to have the FDA confirm the nonprescription use of the treatment. Women's reproductive rights groups were cautiously optimistic, saying they would remain skeptical until they learned more details of how the decision would be implemented.
