Out of home rises again on strength of digital billboards

Miscellaneous services and entertainment and increased use of digital billboards led out of home advertising to its 12th straight quarterly gain, rising 4.5% year-over-year to $1.5 billion in the first quarter, according to the Outdoor Advertising Association of America. The retail category, which posted the largest percentage gain at 12.4%, came in second; the media and advertising category experienced a 10% dip.
