Pilots plan documentary about secret route to Siberia

Pilots Jeff Geer and Alan Anders are planning to make a multipart documentary about the secret route used to deliver some 8,000 American-built warplanes to the Soviet Union during World War II. They are set to fly the first leg of the route from Bellingham, Wash., to Fairbanks, Alaska, in Anders' World War II-vintage T6-F Texan warplane. The rest of the route they hope to document next year, flying from Fairbanks to Krasnoyarsk, Siberia. "Very few people knew about this program then, let alone now," said Geer.
