Recovery from repeat concussion takes longer in children, teens

Patients aged 11 to 22 who came to the emergency room with a first concussion had an average recovery time of 12 days, while those with previous concussions took 28 days to recover and those with a second concussion within a year took 35 days on average to recover. The findings were published in the journal Pediatrics.
