Review ties higher vitamin D to lower type 2 diabetes risk

A meta-analysis in Diabetes Care showed that higher levels of vitamin D in the blood were associated with a reduced risk of type 2 diabetes. Researchers said the odds of developing the disease fell by 4% for every 10 nmol/L increase in blood levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D.
