SEC eases collateral requirement for asset managers, hedge funds

In a series of letters to major banks, the Securities and Exchange Commission eased collateral requirements for credit default swaps traded on IntercontinentalExchange. The SEC modified a measure adopted in March that would have required some clients to post twice as much collateral as dealers put up for portfolio margin accounts at ICE.
