Social media gaining friends in education

A growing number of schools nationwide are using social networking in the classroom -- primarily Skype, Facebook and YouTube -- according to new research. Findings also show that 69% of schools surveyed have student-website programs, 46% have online student pen-pal programs and 59% have staff using social media for professional purposes.
