New Zealand sets new records for avocado sales

Sales of New Zealand avocados more than doubled to nearly $116 million this season, and the industry set new records for both exports and domestic consumption. "We are identifying opportunities, prioritising markets and addressing obstacles on a path to becoming a high value, sustainable horticulture industry delivering real returns to New Zealand," said Ashby Whitehead, chair of New Zealand Avocado Growers Association.
