Philly students post score gains on Terra Nova tests

Philadelphia schools CEO Paul Vallas says he's heartened by students' improved scores on this spring's standardized tests, although he noted that with more than half of children scoring below national norms, much work remains to be done. Most regular district schools showed greater improvement than those run by for-profit Edison Schools and other outside managers.
