Cable networks work harder for summer ratings

In the past, cable networks were able to take advantage of the summer season because the broadcast networks went on hiatus, but garnering summer ratings isn't as easy as it used to be. With the broadcast networks relying more on summer reality series, cable networks are working harder to promote the premieres of their summer programming.
