ASCE to continue working with OSHA on construction safety

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration says it is renewing its partnership with ASCE's Construction Institute in an effort to "reduce and prevent workplace hazards for construction employees." The alliance encourages construction companies to focus on safety and health training to mitigate hazards. "In an industry that has among the highest rates for injuries, illnesses and fatalities, it is the goal of this alliance to develop products and materials that increase safety and health awareness," said Edwin G. Foulke, assistant secretary of labor for OSHA, in announcing the extension of the alliance.
