Asian central banks fight dollar climb

Central banks in Thailand and South Korea have sold dollars to support their currencies as recent comments by U.S. leaders drive up the dollar's value. U.S. leaders have geared up for "outright intervention" in world currency markets to break a linkage between a weak dollar and high oil prices, said Stephen Jen, chief currency strategist at Morgan Stanley in London.
