FDA: Florida tomatoes cleared in salmonella investigation

Food-safety officials announced Florida tomatoes are safe to eat and are free of a rare strain of Salmonella saintpaul. The Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are investigating an outbreak of the disease, thought to be borne through tomatoes.
