N.C. bill would encourage private school for children with special needs

North Carolina legislators on Tuesday introduced a bipartisan plan to give parents of children with moderate to severe disabilities a $6,000 tax credit for enrolling their children in special private schools. Advocates of the plan say it would save the state's schools $6 million while costing only $2.5 million in tax revenue.
