Telehealth can cut costs related to chronic diseases

Research from the University of Missouri suggests that by encouraging frequent telehealth sessions between chronic-disease patients and health care workers, health plans can reduce expenses for businesses and employees. Telehealth use can result in fewer stays in the hospital, said one of the researchers.
