Higher feedstock prices are expected to push up isocyanates, polyols

Increasing costs for feedstocks are expected to drive producers to increase prices for U.S. isocyanates and polyols in July, according to buyers. Chemical-grade propylene, used in polypol production, could increase to 38.5 cents per pound, and benzene and toluene, chemicals used as feedstock for TDI and MDI, have reported price increases since the beginning of the year.
