How Wordpress' founder leads a global office

Leading an organization with employees flung far across the globe requires a willingness to work strange hours and the ability to set limits and take advantage of face-to-face meetings whenever possible, writes Automattic founder Matt Mullenweg, developer of the popular blog platform Wordpress. Keeping track of how much time one spends on any given project is also key, he notes, because it keeps little tasks like e-mail from eating up too much of the day.
