Developer Larry Silverstein and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will continue to discuss redevelopment plans for the World Trade Center site through the weekend, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said. The two sides failed to reach an agreement by the June 11 deadline. Silverstein wants the Port Authority to provide financing for two proposed skyscrapers he plans to build at the site, but Port Authority officials are willing to finance only one tower. Meanwhile, missed WTC construction deadlines on projects may result in a $321 million payment to Goldman Sachs.
