Revpar declines expected to finally bottom out in third quarter

Revenue per available room declined in just about every market in April, but things should begin to stabilize later this year, according to PKF Hospitality Research. The revpar decline that began in the third quarter of 2008 should hit its cyclical low point and bottom out in the third quarter of 2009; however, it will probably take another year before a strong trend of revpar growth emerges, the company says.
