Sri Lanka has long road ahead to reconciliation

The end of combat raises questions over the political futures for Sri Lanka's ethnic Tamil minority and the many grievances against the government that remain unsolved. Anti-Tamil discrimination at the national level and the pressing need for economic development in Tamil-dominated areas are two of the main areas President Mahinda Rajapakse needs to address to promote reconciliation in the long term.
