Verizon Wireless warns vendors on LTE-IPv6 link

Cell phone makers that want their handsets to be compatible with Verizon Wireless' 4G Long-Term Evolution network must include support for the IPv6 protocol, the carrier has said, according to a report that cites company documents. With IPv4 running out of domain addresses, IPv6 is designed to supplant the current protocol.
