Mood is much improved among REIT executives

The general mood among attendees at REITWeek 2010 is upbeat, with landlords confident the worst is over. Still, they are warily watching unemployment numbers. "Until there is massive amounts of hiring, we're not going to see much of an expansion in our economics," said Douglas Linde, president of Boston Properties. Job growth must go "supercharge," added David Neithercut, CEO of Equity Residential.
