NYC expects to double last year's summer school enrollment

About 21,000 New York City elementary- and middle-school students will enroll in summer school this year based on low test scores in reading and math -- two times as many who took summer courses last year. The data are based on preliminary test results. If students do not attend summer school, they face being held back a grade.
