Shanghai Composite see gains, but trails Asian share markets

China's Shanghai Composite was up 0.4% but was lagging compared with its regional counterparts as a mixed picture of the country's economy emerged. Japan's Nikkei was 1.5% higher, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 was 1.3% higher and South Korea's Kospi Composite was up 0.9%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index advanced 1.3%, Taiwan's Taiex gained 1.5% and New Zealand's NZX-50 rose 1.1%. Malaysia's KLCI added 0.5%, Thailand's SET index climbed 0.6% and India's Sensex was up 0.9%.
