Study links excess weight in children to mothers' employment

U.K. researchers suggest that the increasing number of mothers with full-time work over the past few decades could be one factor in the growing problem of childhood obesity. They found that children of mothers with full-time jobs were 48% more likely to be obese or overweight compared with children of mothers who did not work outside the home.
