It's time for a digital bill of rights, lawmakers say

Lawmakers are pretty terrible when it comes to crafting legislation relating to the Internet, say Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., and Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and many in Congress are having their heads turned by the lobbyists of the burgeoning "cyber-industrial complex." A digital bill of rights is needed to ensure that ongoing regulatory efforts don't leave Internet users at the mercy of unscrupulous "middle men," Wyden added.
