Alaska flight school trains local pilots

The Yuut Yaqungviat Flight School based in Bethel, Alaska, is dedicated to training students native to the state's Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta to become commercial bush pilots. The school has a partnership with Era Alaska, guaranteeing that every student that meets Era's standards gets a job. "They can be at home, still hunt and fish, live the subsistence lifestyle and fly for us," said Jason Wilson, Era's chief pilot for bush operations.
