DOD spouse-hiring provision should be strengthened, lawmaker says

Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., sent a letter to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the Pentagon on May 14 seeking to strengthen a provision relating to the hiring of military spouses. Van Hollen is concerned that loopholes are allowing employers to skirt Priority Placement for Military Spouses requirements.
