Giant, aggressive gallinipper mosquito appears in Fla.

A large, quarter-sized and aggressive breed of mosquito, called gallinippers, were spotted in Florida last week. The gallinipper can weigh up to 20 times more than most mosquitoes and is more aggressive, able to bite through clothing. Entomologists from the University of Florida warned that the species could surge this summer, their dormant eggs likely hatched by heavy tropical storm rains.
