Business owners can keep their companies running after being diagnosed by using technology to stay in touch with clients and by being willing to delegate their responsibilities. It's also important to keep established clients informed, according to Wendy Guarisco, who underwent a double mastectomy because of breast cancer. "Most of my clients are like family and they knew from the get-go what was happening and [they] were so understanding," she said.
