N.Y. universities to use state grant to hire faculty

Binghamton University in New York state will use a $1.7 million grant to hire more faculty in nursing, cybersecurity and mechanical engineering. A $12 million state grant will be spread among 36 campuses to hire more faculty in specific high-needs areas. "Our capacity to produce graduates in these fields or any other field relies on faculty," said Donald Nieman, provost and vice president of academic affairs at Binghamton University.
