Ranks of female entrepreneurs in travel continue to grow

More women are being drawn to the challenge of striking their own paths in the travel agent industry. Susan Duffy, director of the Center for Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership at Babson College, says the flexibility and the potential to produce social change are some of the reasons why women are venturing into the entrepreneurial world. "Women are starting socially conscious ventures at higher levels than men. Women want to make money but also to do good. So they find ways to create a triple bottom line that's good for the environment, society and making money," Duffy said.
