Retail strategy spurs sales growth at Prada

Prada booked a 14% increase in first-quarter sales, fueled by a strategy to boost business and offset wholesale slowdowns by increasing its retail presence in emerging luxury markets including Brazil and Thailand. Prada, whose luxury brands include Miu Miu, Car Shoe and Church's, has opened more than 20 new stores so far this year.
