Study: Most calories from store-purchased products

A new study shows Americans get between 63% and 76% of their calories from food purchased in stores, and 17% to 26% of calories from quick- and full-service restaurants. According to research published in Nutrition Journal, Americans get more calories from grain-based desserts, soft drinks, pasta and bread purchased in stores than from pizza, hamburgers, chicken and French fries at restaurants.
