U.S., Japanese troops will train in Calif.

About 1,000 Japanese troops are headed to the U.S. for joint military exercises with American troops to help improve Japan's amphibious attack and response capabilities. China, which is in a territorial dispute with Japan over islands in the East China Sea, reportedly asked the two to cancel the two-week exercise.
