Good cardiovascular health may keep cognitive decline at bay

Research published in the Journal of the American Heart Association found that people with lower cardiovascular health scores had a higher risk of developing cognitive problems than those with better heart health. Patients who had strokes were excluded, so the findings "suggest that the mechanism linking cardiovascular health with cognition is something other than clinical stroke," researchers said.
