Kidney measures may indicate stroke risk, data analysis shows

Albuminuria and reduced rates of estimated glomerular filtration may be predictive of ischemic stroke risk, Johns Hopkins researchers reported after analyzing data from four studies. Their report in Stroke: Journal of the American Heart Association also linked albuminuria levels to a risk of intraparenchymal hemorrhage.
