Older men taking statins may be less active, study says

Men ages 65 and older who took a statin medication to lower cholesterol spent less time being physically active, Oregon researchers reported in JAMA Internal Medicine. Men who took statins were sedentary for about 53 more minutes each week than those who did not take the drugs, according to the study.
