Nokia VP: Learn the rules, Linux-backers

A top Nokia engineer said that developers of open-source platforms needed to understand such basic mobile-industry concepts as digital-rights management, intellectual-property rights, SIM locks and subsidized-business models because the rules of the game had not completely changed. Ari Jaaksi, Nokia vice president of software, said open-source developers must swallow their objections to some of the industry's policies because "we are not yet ready to play by [open-network] rules."
