Nursing camp generates career interest for high school students

The Medical University of South Carolina and the Charleston County School District hope to generate interest in a nursing career early by offering a nursing camp for students just entering high school. MUSC's Yvonne Martin, a nurse outreach and retention coordinator, said students learn practical skills, including how to take vital signs, change a wound dressing and administer oxygen therapy.
