CDC says poultry is top source of food poisoning

The most common source of food-borne illnesses in the U.S. in 2006 was poultry, followed by leafy vegetables, fruits and nuts, according to a new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report. Most of the poultry-related illnesses were associated with Clostridium perfringens, a bacteria that can survive cooking.
