Convenience stores pump online hype

Convenience-store retailers are using Facebook and Twitter to gain customers. A New Jersey chain is offering free iced coffee to Facebook fans in an effort to reach 1,500 of them. Meanwhile, in Iowa, a chain has launched "Twitter Tuesdays," when the site is used to broadcast clues about the location of the store where people can win concert tickets.
