Educators finding benefits in automatic data-tracking systems

An automatic tracking system that sent Duane Wilson's mother an e-mail when he started getting D's kept the college-bound senior from failing out of his Montgomery County, Md., school, he says. The high-tech data system and others like it could be coming soon to schools around the country as states pledge to implement such technology to become eligible for education stimulus funds.
