SAT foreshadows possible pitfalls of national education standards

Before launching a system of national education standards, President Barack Obama and his administration should learn from the SAT, which has increasingly fallen out of favor in the college admissions process, according to The Christian Science Monitor's editorial board. A single test often is unable to fairly assess all students fairly, and it leaves out qualities such as creativity and curiosity.
