S.C. nuclear industry predicted to need 10,000 new workers

The Savannah River Site Community Reuse Organization predicts that the nuclear industry in South Carolina will need about 1,000 new workers every year for 10 years because of new reactor projects and retirements in the work force. "The jobs cited in this study will be filled in the next decade by students who are in middle school and high school today," said Susan Winsor, president of Aiken Technical College.
