Teacher reinstated after letting classroom vote out kindergartner

A Florida teacher who allowed her kindergarten students to vote out of class a child with Asperger's syndrome symptoms will be reinstated with tenure, her school board voted unanimously. Parents of former students and colleagues testified on Wendy Portillo's behalf, saying the isolated incident was not representative of her 12-year career.
