Ace operator finds better LP solution for small businesses

Five-store Gordon's Ace Hardware in Chicago was a year-long beta tester for a new loss-prevention solution designed for small merchants. The system, which links POS-based intelligence with images captured by surveillance cameras, has helped cut losses and boost sales by freeing employees from paperwork, co-owner Jeremy Melnick said. "The way I look at it, insidePOS is like having another employee. You could not hire an employee full time to stand in your store and get done what we're getting done with this service," he said.
