Air Race Classic set to take off

Forty-seven planes are slated to take off from Pasco, Wash., on Tuesday for the 2013 Air Race Classic, an airplane race for women. The planes will fly along a nine-leg route, bound for Fayetteville, Ark., where they are expected to land June 21. Each plane is handicapped, so that competitors are racing against themselves, not each other. The plane with the greatest difference between its handicap and its race speed wins.
