Costa Rica's farmers find a better balance

Farmers in Costa Rica are discovering that clear-cutting the land before planting may make less sense than sowing crops surrounded by the land's natural flora and fauna. The practice is helping Costa Rica reverse the trend of deforestation, and farmers find it helps boost yields for crops including coffee, bananas, pineapples and corn.
